The London qualification competition for the British Youth Championships 2005/6 will be held on Sunday 16 October at The Bridge Park Business and Leisure Centre, Harrow Road (Brentfield Hill), Stonebridge Park, NW10. From 24 September A Touch of Steel FC will be offering regular fencing sessions every Saturday afternoon between 1 pm to 4 pm at Finsbury Leisure Centre, Norman Street, London EC1V 3QN. Up to 6 fencing pistes are available as well as individual lessons on request.

The South East Region Foil Championship is being held on Sunday 12 June at the University of Kent at Canterbury. Entry form and further information (word file).
Middlesex will be competing in Excalibur, the annual English inter-county competition on May 21-22 in Bath.
The 2005 London Intermediate Championships are being held on Sunday 8 May at Bridge Park leisure centre, Stonebridge Park, NW10 4AH. Entry form and further information (word file).
South East region came second in the 2005 Winton Cup (16-17 April), narrowly beaten on indicators by the South West region. A number of Middlesex fencers also competed for the London region in the second division Southcombe Cup. Rebecca Carson, Emma Jones, and Nick Woolley fenced sabre, and Dawn Townsend and Avril Ormsby foil.
A friendly match between City FC and Poly FC on Wednesday 16 March saw City FC A and B sabre teams beat Poly FC sabre team.
The South East Region Intermediate Foil Championships will be held on the 27 February in Crawley, West Sussex. More details are available on the entry form (word document).

The 2004/2005 Middlesex County Fencing Union AGM is being held on Thursday 17 February, 18.30, at the Red Lion and Pineapple pub, on the corner of Gunnersbury Lane and the Uxbridge Road, Acton W3. Please email any items for the agenda to the County Captain.
Lance Larsen is running coaching courses for anyone interested in coaching foil or sabre. The courses will be held at the police sports training ground, Imber Court, Ember Lane, in East Molesey. The sabre course is being held between 12.00-16.00 on Sunday 27 February, the foil course between 12.00-16.00 on Sunday 13 March. The course fee is £20 per person.
